The home in the Middleton Mountain area of Coldstream, near Husband Road and Cherry Lane, went up in flames just before 10am on Sunday. Firefighters put out the fire, but were unable to save the house. A neighbor has set up a GoFundMe page to help the family, who lost everything in the fire. “Our neighbor’s house burned to the ground this morning in front of their eyes,” fundraiser Sheridan Pimson wrote on the page. “The family left home with no shoes, no coats, no purses, just the clothes on their backs.” Pimson says a couple and their 14-year-old daughter lived at the home. She said one of the family’s two dogs made it out alive, but a second dog and their cat were lost. So far, $1,175 has been raised for the family, including $500 from Pimson herself. “We hope to help them through this stressful time,” he says. “Thank you for any donations you can make.” UPDATE: 11:50 a.m Fire crews have extinguished the blaze at a house in the Middleton Mountain area of Coldstream, but the house appears to be a total loss.
