After Donald Trump told a rally crowd over the weekend that he is more likely than ever to run for president in 2024, multiple media outlets are now reporting that his aides are moving back to Nov. 14 as the date to announce a new campaign. During a rally on Sunday in Miami, Mr Trump tried to appeal to Hispanic voters and the crowd cheered when he mentioned House Speaker Nancy Pelosi whose husband was recently violently attacked at their home. No final decision has apparently been made on the timing of the 2024 announcement, but Mr Trump has been keeping a close eye on it for more than a year. Additionally, CNN reports that with a 2024 Trump race looming, Justice Department officials have discussed the possible need for a special counsel for the Jan. 6 and Mar-a-Lago documents investigations. A flurry of activity is expected after the midterms. Meanwhile, a new book says King Charles and his sons were furious with Trump over a 2012 tweet about Kate Middleton, with a butler recalling “torrents of profanity” directed at the reality TV host who later became president .

Tom Cotton will not challenge Trump for the 2024 nomination
Two news outlets, Politico and NBC News, reported Sunday that Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton has been calling allies to let them know he will not run for president in 2024. The far-right senator has been considered a leading candidate for the nomination if Donald Trump does not run, although all signs point to him doing so. NBC’s Ali Vitali quoted a well-placed GOP source as remarking on the dynamic simply: “There’s no room for anybody [else] with Trump and [Ron] DeSantis.” John Bowden6 November 2022 23:30 1667775678
The Trump rally concludes with the former president pledging to undo Biden’s agenda
Donald Trump left the stage in Miami, sweating profusely, just before 6pm local time after a nearly two-hour speech in which he raged against Joe Biden’s political agenda and policies, while strongly hinting that he will again candidate for president. Much of the speech appeared to be a rehash of material he has presented at other recent events, including a call for drug dealers and potential users to face the death penalty. Included at the start was a brief appeal to his supporters to vote for incumbent Gov. Ron DeSandis, likely intended to quell anger within the party after the president openly mocked the governor the night before. Follow the Independent for more analysis of tonight’s event. Trump asks: “Who happens to be Hispanic?”
Donald Trump drew loud cheers when he asked his crowd in Miami, “Who happens to be Hispanic?” Mr Trump told the crowd, “We welcome you to our party and our movement with open, open, open, beautiful arms.” Hispanic voters in Florida, and specifically in the Miami-Dade area, have helped deliver Republican victories in recent election cycles. Mr. Trump and the GOP hope to build on those gains. David Taintor6 November 2022 21:45 1667770710

Poll: DeSantis leads Trump in Florida among Republican voters
A new poll released Sunday by the left-leaning firm Data for Progress found that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis would likely win his state’s primary over Donald Trump, the former president of Florida. It’s important because so far, no polls have shown potential 2024 Republican candidates with the power to do so, even in their home states. Mr. DeSantis is seen as the Republican with the best (and perhaps only) chance to challenge Mr. Trump for the nomination. John Bowden6 November 2022 21:15 1667767551
DeSantis gathers at the retirement community before Trump’s speech
Ron DeSandis held his own campaign rally at a seniors’ community near Tampa, Florida, on Sunday, just hours before Donald Trump took the stage in Miami. The skipper took the stage shortly after 3:00 PM Eastern. The governor is not expected to address Donald Trump, but he may hit out at his former ally after Trump himself hit out at him last night. DeSantis’ Anger Grows After Trump Burns ‘DeSanctimonious’
Allies of Florida Gov. Ron DeSandis are furious after Donald Trump finally took the gloves off and hit out at his potential 2024 opponent just days before the midterm elections. At a rally Saturday night, Trump referred to the governor as “Ron DeSanctimonious” during his remarks before thousands of supporters. Veteran CBS News political correspondent Robert Costa reported Sunday: “Several allies of DeSantis, some also close to Trump, tweeted last night and this morning, unprompted, expressing private anger and even revulsion against Trump. for his comments about the Florida governor.
