Donald Trump heads to Ohio today to campaign for Republican Sen. JD Vance, who is fighting hard to keep the state’s open Senate seat in the Republican column. Mr Trump’s appearance comes after a rowdy rally in Florida yesterday. He delivered an incoherent speech in which he mocked Nancy Pelosi – leading the crowd to erupt into chants of “lock her up!” a few days after the speaker’s husband was released from the hospital after a violent attack. At the same rally, Mr Trump appeared to rein in his attacks on Florida Gov. Ron DeSandis after a mocking new nickname for the rising Republican star angered the governor’s inner circle. He had earlier dismissed Mr. DeSantis, widely seen as a possible 2024 presidential contender, as “Ron DeSanctimonious” at a rally in Pennsylvania, reportedly angering the governor’s staff. However, in Florida on Sunday, he told the crowd that they must re-elect Mr. DeSantis tomorrow. With the former president increasingly hinting that he plans to run again, one of the most prominent potential Republican candidates, Tom Cotton, has reportedly told aides and associates he won’t run after months of laying the groundwork for a campaign.

Will Trump’s scandal-plagued Senate confirmations come back to bite the GOP?

Donald Trump’s efforts to reshuffle the Senate GOP caucus may end up being the reason the GOP fails to take the upper chamber tomorrow. Unwavering faith in Trump appears to have prevailed over traditional vetting processes this time around, and as a result the GOP’s chances of breaking the Democratic majority in the Senate have wobbled significantly, while their opponents are glaring at potential pickups in Ohio, Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Steele shames DeSantis for “blasphemous” ad

Ron DeSantis has been criticized by a former Republican Party chairman for “blasphemy” in one of his campaign ads, which claims the Florida governor is a “fighter” created by God “on the eighth day.” Former RNC Chairman Michael Steele appeared on MSNBC’s The Sunday Show, saying the ad was “one of the most backwards blasphemies I’ve ever heard in my life.” “It tells you what this white Christian nationalism means, that’s who it’s aimed at,” Mr Steele added on Sunday. “Sunday churchgoers, people who actually read the Bible, don’t like it. On the eighth day, really? Church much? Seriously, on the eighth day?’ Read more from Bevan Hurley and Gustaf Kilander: Andrew Naughtie7 November 2022 19:30 1667847626

Why does Matt Gaetz call Trump “Daddy”?

“Time is running out on these midterm elections. The fight is on and there’s no closer politics in America than Big Daddy Don,” said GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz, a conclusion that earned him a rapturous round of cheers and applause from the crowd gathered at the county fair and exhibition Miami-Dade. on Sunday. The pet name for the 45th president seemed to win the approval of the large MAGA crowd that gathered in Miami over the weekend, but the same couldn’t be said for the reception the nickname received online. Donald Trump Jr continues Fetterman attacks

Former President Donald Trump’s eldest son on Sunday accused the Pennsylvania lieutenant governor, who is running for the Democratic Senate, of having no detectable brain activity during warm-up remarks at one of his father’s political rallies. Speaking to a crowd of supporters at a rally in Miami, Florida in support of Sen. Marco Rubio, Donald Trump Jr. suggested that Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman is unfit for the job because of a stroke he suffered in May. DeSantis’ former students are speaking out

Florida Gov. Ron DeSandis was allegedly “passively” mean to a student because she was black and taught inaccurate information about the US Civil War when he was teaching high school early in his adulthood. The New York Times reported this week that Mr. DeSantis spent his first year after graduating from Yale University teaching at the Darlington School, one of Georgia’s oldest and largest boarding schools. At least one student from her days teaching there, Danielle Pompey, claimed she was mistreated, and she believes it was because of the color of her skin.
