Nintendo, The Pokémon Company A new Ghost-type Pokémon called Gimmighoul is coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as well as Pokémon GO. Gimighoul has two main forms. breast form and roaming form. He also likes to ambush people and use his ghost energy to control his target by forcing them to collect coins. The chest form moves slowly and tends to hide in secluded places, while the roaming form is more timid and runs away if approached. In addition to appearing in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Gimmighoul will also be coming to Pokémon GO (shown below). As with all new Pokémon, Gimmighoul is definitely adorable. The fact that it has a chest shape is also interesting and reminds me of the Mimic monsters in the Dragon Quest series. Although Mimics are a lot less cute and approachable than Gimighoul seems to be. As with previous versions of Pokémon games, working with Pokémon GO becomes pretty standard from this point on. So having Jacq from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet sharing notes with Professor Willow from Pokémon GO is pretty cool. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be released for Switch on November 18th.
