Susan Daggett, a law professor at the University of Denver, appears in a video released Monday by Accuracy in Media, arguing that “the most successful efforts in Washington, D.C., are the ones you never see on the front page of the paper. “ At one point in the video, Daggett agrees and laughs at the two reporters who thought Democrats were disguising a health and climate bill as a law to reduce inflation. (Courtesy: KUSA/9NEWS) The campaign for Republican Joe O’Dea, who is running to unseat Bennett, accused the Bennetts of being “radicals.” “It’s that quiet place loud now,” campaign manager Zack Roday told Fox News Digital in an interview. “Even in the Inflation Reduction Act, I categorically admit that was not the purpose of the legislation and laughing at its title,” he said. “The media and the Democrats called it that until the moment it was passed, and then it became the climate bill, and that’s exactly what Michael Bennett did in terms of the way he talked about it.” “And it’s just so disappointing because that’s exactly what many fear about radical leadership under the Biden-Bennett agenda,” he added. “It’s that they’re really trying to quick-shoot the American people. It’s admitting what has actually been the agenda for the last two years.” The Bennet campaign hit back at the tactics of undercover journalists Accuracy in Media, saying it was “despicable ambush theater”. “This is not journalism, it’s sordid ambush theater,” Bennet campaign manager Justin Lamorte said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “It’s disgusting that Joe O’Dea and his campaign are supporting this tactic. Targeting a candidate’s wife is straight out of Donald Trump’s playbook.” Bennett’s campaign accused reporters of secretly taping Daggett under false pretenses and selectively editing the footage. The campaign said the two unnamed people, one of whom claimed to be a graduate student at the same university where Daggett works, claimed they were searching Bennett’s home when they filmed the video. Accuracy in Media President Adam Guillette hit back at the campaign’s criticism in a statement to Fox News Digital. “I like that police officers wear body cameras,” Guyette said. “And I would love a world where politicians wore cameras. The next best thing is an investigative journalist with a hidden camera.” The Republican campaign’s Roday also commented on the payback of the clip’s police department, saying, “One of the biggest solutions to reducing crime is more police officers.” “We have to defend them,” he said. “We have to give them the funding they need, and that’s part of the reason the Democrats are going to fall tomorrow on November 8 is because they’re just out of touch.” DEM SEN.
