I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! is back – and viewers are wondering where Matt Hancock is. The popular ITV reality series is back for its 20th series, which takes place in the Australian jungle for the first time since 2019. Read The Independent’s review of the debut episode here. I’m a Celeb has been forced to relocate to Wales due to the pandemic, but this year’s celebrity cast is back where the show really belongs: Down Under. During the first episode on Sunday (November 6), Mike Tindall and Jill Scott wowed audiences with their super chill reactions to their first challenges. However, first runner-up Olivia Attwood unfortunately withdrew from the competition due to a medical issue less than 24 hours after entering the jungle. The second episode, which aired on Monday (November 7), saw the show’s first Bushtucker trial, which was played by Chris Moyles, Scarlette Douglas, Boy George and Attwood before her departure. Controversy rocked the show in October after it was announced disgraced politician Matt Hancock would be joining the series in a few days alongside comedian Seann Walsh. Viewers slam Bushtucker challenge as ‘dangerous’
Viewers at home raised concerns about the Bushtucker trial last night (November 7). Chris Moyles, Scarlette Douglas, Boy George and Olivia Attwood (before her release) were in “HMS Drown Under”. During the challenge, Boy George and Chris were placed in tanks with goggles over their eyes. The cisterns began to fill with cold water, while Olivia and Scarlette had to unscrew the faucets hidden in small holes in a wall, which contained all kinds of creepy crawlies. The water level rose “dangerously” in Chris’ tank, causing the star to “panic”. Annabel Nugent8 November 2022 08:00 1667893206

Babatunde Aléshé voted for the “Horrifying Heights” trial.
Unsurprisingly, it’s Babatunde for the first height challenge. Which, considering he’s already out of the first one, isn’t really shocking. Good luck, kid! Isobel Lewis7 November 2022 22:29 1667860044

Olivia Attwood’s team say the public ‘will hear the truth in due course’
Olivia Attwood’s loved ones acknowledged her passing with a statement on her Instagram Story. Their statement read: “To say Olivia is heartbroken would be an understatement, she’s dreamed of doing I’m A Celeb for years, and has absolutely loved every second of the show and jumping into jungle life feet first ( as we knew it would). (Olivia Attwood/Instagram) “However, for reasons beyond her control, her journey was cut short. Your support and kind words mean the absolute world to her, now as much as ever. You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course.” Isobel Lewis7 November 2022 22:24
