The latest Pokémon Scarlet & Violet trailer has just been released and it’s definitely a festive one. With Ed Sheeran’s brand new song, Celestial, and the display of many Pokémon, places and people we’ve already envisioned, it feels like we’re finally home. There weren’t many new details here, other than The Pokémon Company and Game Freak managing to say something without much. Around the 2:30 mark, we get a shot of Arven and your Pokémon trainer looking at a rather elaborate sketch of what appears to be a Donphan, the evolution of Phanpy. Although it looks a little different. The trailer then cuts to a close-up of what appears to be a bulky Pokémon, which goes well with the sketch. The trailer, again, is limited to a sketch with a different kind of Donphan sketch. What is happening here? Then we see a much more futuristic one in the flesh – possibly just his face. This past and future thing seems ever so possible, now. Images: The Pokémon Company Does it analyze the trailer? No. But the official website does. The most ancient creature is known as Great Tusk (exclusive to Scarlet) and the metallic one is known as Iron Treads (exclusive to Violet). Unusual names for Pokémon, we think. We wonder what Game Freak is up to… Arven is holding a book in the trailer and this book will depend on which version of the game you have. You will get the Scarlet Book in Pokémon Scarlet and the Violet Book in Pokémon Violet. These books contain sketches and photographs of the Great Tusk, the Iron Feet, and various other unknown creatures. Images: The Pokémon Company Well, that was a sneaky little tease there! It looks like there’s something new and exciting to be revealed in the Paldea region, and we’ll find out very soon — on November 18th, in fact! What do you think of these new Pokémon?
