Everton aim to progress to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup when they face AFC Bournemouth tonight (19:45 GMT). The Toffees are preparing for two games against the Cherries as they are also in action at the Vitality Stadium this weekend. But Frank Lampard’s full focus will be on the upcoming cup clash. It has been 27 years since Everton last won a piece of silverware and Lampard would cement himself in Goodison folklore if he could end the wait for a trophy. However, the Blues boss may be weighing up changes against Bournemouth. In last Saturday’s 2-0 defeat by Leicester City, Dominic Calvert-Lewin (calf), Idrissa Gana Gueye (thigh) and Amadou Onana (ankle) all suffered setbacks. Furthermore, Lampard may see the draw as an opportunity to give some of his fringe players a chance to put themselves in contention to play at the weekend. With all that in mind, here is the Everton team we predict to face Bournemouth.

2. CB – Michael Keane

He hasn’t made an appearance in almost two and a half months, so I’ll enjoy an outing. Photo: George Wood/Getty Images

3. CB – Yerry Mina

The Colombia international was left out of action after the opening day defeat to Chelsea. Now he is getting into good form and this could be the perfect game for Mina to come back. Photo: George Wood/Getty Images

4. CB – Mason Holgate

I had to be patient after coming back from injury, with Everton since they switched to a flat back four. Holgate has not started since recovering from the setback he suffered in August. Photo: Stu Forster/Getty Images
